Due to the increased cost of living, there are changes both in Australia and the Philippines.  We have a number of students needing sponsorship, and the cost of stationery supplies has close to tripled post-covid.  Living expenses in the Philippines are increasing, similar to in Australia. 

MPFG Australia Inc. is an Australian tax-deductible charity.   Your donations are to meet the needs for your sponsor child's education.  You are welcome to donate financial gifts to assist your child with other living necessities such as food or medicines.

Sponsorship is a simple commitment. We ask you to partner with a student, and you pay for their schooling.​

 

Kindergarten to Year 10​: Elementary & High School sponsorship costs $300 per year or $25 per month​.

​For Kindergarten to the end of Year 10, all costs are covered. Uniforms, shoes, books, and admission fees.​

 

Years 11-12​:  Senior High costs​ $500 per year or $45 per month​​

***Students must graduate Year 12 to gain their high school certificate.​***

For Senior high, all costs are covered. Uniforms, shoes, books, admission and exam fees – IF they attend a public school.​ In some extreme circumstances, students who live remotely have to enrol in private schools due to the distance they need to travel.​ When this is the case, the essentials are paid for.​

​Higher Education:​  Students wanting to study at public university level or technical college costs $500 per year or $45 per month​. This opportunity is negotiated with existing sponsors on an individual basis depending on the course, duration and any extra variables. When students enrol in the public system for TAFE or University, sponsorship covers all admission and exam fees and students are encouraged to earn their own income to pay for textbooks, project costs and uniforms.​ There are only limited spaces available in Public University, with a small portion of students who enrol, gaining a position.​ In some cases, students enrol in Private college so they can study, or if they are doing specialist degrees such as medicine.​​

​College (or University) is a complex enrolment process, so MPFG endeavours to keep sponsors in the loop to know what their child is hoping to do.​ ​Ultimately, sponsoring a child breaks the cycle of poverty as they gain an education and are employable in areas otherwise unavailable to them.​
